The longer we’ve been at this foodie thing, the more we’ve come to realize how many hidden gems there are in Brevard. Like Monkey Bar in Indialantic, our latest find.
We wouldn’t have thought twice about stopping in for dinner at this bar had the owner not invited us to check it out. It’s definitely got more of a “night scene” (live music stage, pool tables, large bar area) but we were curious about the food, most of which is made in-house.
Our appetizer, the Monkey Tots, ended up being our favorite! Major bonus points for creativity here: crispy tater tots tossed in a spicy dry rub, smothered in white queso, green onion, bacon, and pico. We haven’t tried anything quite like it, and it was amazing.
We also tried the brisket tacos, another winner. Great flavors going on here, the tortillas are lightly seasoned & perfectly crispy (but not hard shell), and bonus it’s served with chips & queso!
Next were the pizzas! These are also made in-house , very generously sized. These were our kids favorite!
We were too full for dessert but were eyeing this one on the menu before we left:
How do you go wrong with a huge freshly baked cookie with ice cream on top?! Gunna have to go back sometime for that one.
