Best Cheesecake, Unlikely Pizza Find, and One of Our Favorite Lunches to Date: Month in Review

Space Coast locals,

It’s been a month of more foodie adventures and we spent our January checking off our list of more “must-try” suggestions from YOU. Here’s a quick roundup of our January 2019 highlights in case you missed any! :

Rising Tide : Cape Canaveral

A fresh take on well-crafted American bar food. We drove 40 minutes for this meal and were not disappointed! One of our favorites for outdoor views/atmosphere.

Backwater: Downtown Melbourne

A tried & true for us, and a MUST for every local (and tourist) with pancake-obsessed kids. Farm to table, locally sourced breakfast & lunch in a vintage Florida atmosphere.

Thai Hana: The Avenues, Viera

Thai food rarely disappoints for us, and we love a good sushi roll, so Thai Hana was a drop in the bucket for us. Winner between our two entrees was the Volcano Chicken!

Meriano’s Pizza – Satellite Beach

Unlikely gas station find. Big-portion pizza & subs, run as a one-man show by a native Bostonian with a heart for fresh ingredients and authentic taste. Budget- friendly find!

Oh Biscuit- Melbourne

Already in love with their biscuits, this was a repeat for us so we could try their famous cinnamon roll. It held its own! They drizzle the icing glaze over just before you order so it’s super fresh. Tiny trailer with a down-home vibe.

Hemingway’s Tavern- Melbourne

Key-west themed traditional sit-down. Comfort/American dishes with plenty of seafood. The pork mac n’ cheese was our favorite entree, but the Guava Cheesecake stole the night.

Senor Locos Tacos & Tequila- Indian Harbour Beach

Traditional sit-down Mexican. Fresh chips & salsa brought to your table, large menu, amazing shrimp ceviche and great outdoor patio space.

Tabone’s Po Boys – downtown Melbourne

Intimate, cozy ma-and-pop spot with Louisiana cuisine: dang good po boy sandwiches and awesome appetizers, like the loaded Pig Fries.

Jacqueline’s Bakery & Cafe : downtown Melbourne

Dropped in for a post-dinner sweet tooth fix. Fantastic hot chocolate, creme brûlée and a super sweet, creamy French pastry. Best indulged on a chilly night!

Green Turtle Market: Satellite Beach

Two words: blown away. A small, upscale cafe tucked inside a gourmet mini-market. Reasonable prices for the quality. Thoughtful, complex flavors, fresh ingredients; food done RIGHT.
