February: We spent this month falling in LOVE with new eateries and revisiting old flings from our past. Here were our favorites:
First City Cafe – Rockledge
A lovely + tiny ma n’ pop cafe with great sandwiches and soups! We loved the Cristo and BBQ sandwiches.
Chez Quan’s- Melbourne
A takeout go-to if you’re into Thai food. Massaman curry and Pad Thai shown here.
Cosmos Ice Cream – food truck/bus
New to the area! Travels around, based in Rockledge. Rooftop seating, hand-made nitrogen ice cream with cool mix – ins. Pictured here is the unicorn ice cream!
Crush XI – Melbourne
No secret this one is an all-time favorite for us. All around some of the best atmosphere and food in the area. They hosted our gender reveal (see the video here) and blew our minds yet again. Now serving lunch, and you gotta get the chicken sandwich when you go.
Mulberry Lane Cafe – Melbourne
A repeat fav for us. Very above-average breakfast+lunch diner style, and great prices. Their eggs Benedict are perfection and they’re always doing something creative with their specials.
The Bald Strawberry- Indialantic
Gluten free everything! Waffle sandwiches, personal pizzas, and bakery items that change daily. Delicious even for those who aren’t gluten challenged.
The Bearded Chef – food truck
Consistent, mind-blowing creativity coming out of this truck. Unexpected combos and flavors that don’t disappoint.
Too Cool Cafe – Indian Harbour Beach
People-pleasing menu, top notch quality, cozy atmosphere. Brunch and dinner menus.
Chekmarc’s – Palm Bay
No-frills atmosphere, but possibly the best French Toast on the Space Coast. Deep fried, extra thick.
The Weber Grille – food truck
Gourmet grilled cheeses & soups. We got the Tuscan melt: bacon, goat cheese, havarti, apricot jam and balsamic glaze!
Autumn’s Crab- Rockledge
Fresh seafood baskets prepared in classic fried and boiled styles, seasoned to perfection. We adored the coconut shrimp. Be prepared to get messy here; but don’t worry- bibs provided!
Ice Cream Hut – Rockledge
Home of the Xtreme milkshakes! Lots of other interesting menu items here too (like the donut sundaes!) but easy to underestimate because of its tiny size- just a small stand with a walk-up window.
